The BMW films were a direct result of the movie Ronin. And the transporter was a direct result of the BMW films. When these films came out they had the making of this film and they state Ronin as the inspiration. I believe this is the last film that John Frankenheimer made before he died.

I have a piece of that car.. I worked at BMW of the Hamptons and they had this car there for a promo thing for BMW films. The bullet holes in the glass are just faked with clear silicone, the passenger front door was hanging off the car and held on with the seatbelt. I stole the towhook cover off the car, I still have it somewhere

this is a 740i with the sport package that had a steptronic transmission. Its like a automatic without a clutch you can shift, push up/forward on the shifter for a higher gear and pull down/back for a lower gear

woops i mean all auto cars hav extra wide brake pedal and the reference to 4.26 is that sum1 said hes placing a foot on the clutch and brake, but hes putting both feet on the brake

all these people saying its manual its not, sum1 said look at 4.26 for a spilt second u see him press both feet onto an extra wide brake pedal which all manual cars hav and u can see the raised emergency/park brake beside it that looks like a clutch, my dad has a 1996 740i it doesnt hav this semi-auto. wel in new zealand we call it tiptronic dont ask y, very cool film tho

It depends on the gearbox .. not all automatic gearboxes had the semi function ..but the top range definitivily had .. In the lever there must be a sign that says sport or something and there must be ( + / – ) or ( / / V ) signs .. normally is moving the stick tot he semi position and there its moving up/down the stick to change gears.. But i dont know if yours have it..
